Bognor Regis Windsurfing Guide
General info
Windsurfing ratings
Typical southcoast bump and jump venue with a mix of shingle and sand at higher tide, going out to a sandy beach at mid and low tide. Bognor Regis offers the usual blend of bump and jump, with the occasional 'classic' periods during winter storms or big swells.
As a South Coast beach, it is typical and protected by plenty of groynes. The sailing area is on the seafront in front of the town or from the Bognor Regis yacht club, where there is a very friendly atmosphere to be found.
Features
Butlins! The south coast Butlins holiday spot. Not that, that should put you off. This is a blaster's or slalom sailors delight, there are plenty around to test your speed out on. There will be a modicum of waves in a swell to think about also, however there are better areas on this stretch of coastline for this, for example Pagham, just around the corner.
Considerations
There is a pier to watch out for and plenty of groynes.
Directions to Bognor Regis
