Perranporth Gallery

Sandy beach, with hard access. Cliff proximity makes for high tide gusty winds.

Features

This place is a swell magnet, with a heavy wave so not for the feint hearted. Just North of Perrenporth towards Perren sands is probably the best approached. Don't expect to see too many out on the water. It is slightly more exposed to a westerly swell than Gwithian. Getting down to the beach and back up again is a trek, so expect a big post work warm down.

Considerations

Cliffs at the north end of the beach make for a gusty hard launch. It is a heavy wave so get good at holding your breath!
