Broadhaven Gallery

Broadhaven is a good location for both windsurfing and surfing, with the swell being smaller but cleaner than Newgale. Partly because of the protection from south westerly chop. As a general rule, in such swell directions the wave size can be half the size of that at Newgale. However watch out for a dropping tide for the best wave size and shape.

It's wide wind range makes it quite a versatile spot that offers both down the line and flat water blasting.

Southerlies can be gusty but suitable for wave-riding and Easterlies (offshore) good for flat water blasting.

Features

This can be a good go to beach for less harsh conditions during a big southerly or south westerly swell.

Considerations

Check equipment before windsurfing in the offshore easterlies.
