Pendine is a great location for catching cross onshore starboard tack sailing in a south westerly wind direction. Exposed to southerly swell directions but more sheltered from westerly swell, a good option if you are looking for something different from traditional down the line conditions but want some fun radical action.

Southerly swell and wind directions between west and south-west are what to look for. West to south-west winds also benefit from a slight acceleration due to the line of cliffs.

Either side of high tide the waves are best.

Thank you to local ripper and Bigsalty Team Alfie Hart for helping with Q and As.

Features

Great fun cross onshore starboard tack conditions. Wind acceleration experienced with directions west to south-west.
