Fraisthorpe Windsurfing Guide
General info
Windsurfing ratings
Fraisthorpe is located in Bridlington bay further south than Bridlington itself. It suits northerly and southerly winds more than Bridlingon because it faces more east but can be sailed in most directions. The sandy beach shelves gently meaning that conditions in the appropriate winds are good for beginners, access is also quite easy from the car park on the cliff.
A popular venue for both windsurfing and kitesurfing, but it might also be worth checking out the conditions at Bridlington as well.
Features
There is less of a wind shadow than nearby Bridlington due to the lower sand dunes on this stretch of the coast.
