Big Salty Summit

We all enjoy and make the most of the water and the weather and participate in sports that are very much all about the environment. So the Big Salty Summit might just be able to tap the brains of the finest minds facing the climate change problem in the modern world - yes, you!

Unlike those attending the Copenhagen Summit, a penchant for mistresses,  sleep inducing speeches or frustratingly cheesy political campaigns is not a pre-requisite. Just a bonus.

So what is the Big Salty Summit? Well, it's everything in this forum. Currently that is actually nothing, but my hemp wetsuit wearing friends, with your limitless enthusiasm and boundless knowledge i'm sure that won't be the case for long.

The Big Salty Team have faith in your environmentally considerations so whatever your thoughts or ideas are on the environment, we raise a glass of fermented vegetable extract to any topics you start.

Enjoy.

Re: Big Salty Summit

have a lot of respect for starboard for being brave enough to talk about the white elephant of celebrating the sea but being an industry that depends on using materials that are poisonous to the sea.  A tough paradox.
They have commited to making all their boards from recycled materials, all their adhesives being non toxic and biodegradable and their overall to be completely carbon neutral (and currently it seems to be carbon positive with their mango tree plant  commitment)
Hopefully the other manufacturers will follow this fine example.

here's their blurb

The new ecoboard looks pretty tasy too
